6:30-9 P.m.   UTEE with Judy Skeel

Join me for a fun time of creating and check out a bunch of great techniques using UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel.)  We’ll be using UTEE in melting pots and with heat guns, pour into my wide assortment of molds to make fabulous faces, incorporate shapes, textures and foils.  By mixing a variety of techniques we can create layered pins that will blow your socks off.  These pins are the kind you can wear, or attach to a handmade greeting card for a fabulously elegant gift, or even frame.  One fabulous technique is faux dichroic glass that will make you drool and cost a lot less to make than buying the real stuff at your favorite bead store.  Just check out these samples I made in my studio with UTEE.

The $35 kit fee includes an assortment of colors of UTEE (12-16 ounces each kit) and use of tools to make several pieces, pin backs, sea glass, foil, inks, and miscellaneous supplies.

Required supplies:

Optional supplies:

We need several melting pots and a couple heat guns for this class. If you have one or would like to purchase one through me for $36 please let me know, and we can work out the details.  More pots means less sharing and everyone can play and create more goodies.  I can also order non-stick craft sheets ($10) and non stick Kool Toolz ($7) and get them to class for you. Just email me at jskeel@skeelhaven.com

This will include all parts for the basic doll.  Students will need to bring sewing needles, stuffing tools, stuffing and any extra embellishments they may wish to add such as beading.  They will have a choice of colors: black, royal blue or coral pink, and hair in blonde or auburn.
