Enchanted Doll Artists Conference
Challenge Dolls 2008
![]()
The theme for this year is "The Other Side of the Mirror"
There will be a charge of $5.00 for each entry in the Challenge
You may do no more than
2 dolls, due to space restrictions
You may do an Original and a Pattern for the Challenge
You may do a Challenge and a Show and Tell (the Show and Tell is free and
you will not
receive a critique)
You may bring several Show and Tell (again, the Show and Tell is free and not
critiqued)
Each entry may be no larger than 12" X 18" at the base (even if it is more than one doll)
Each Challenge Doll must be accompanied by a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" card, printed or typed, with the name of the doll and the story or artist statement.
Please write on only one side of the card for the convenience of the judges. The word "Original" or "Pattern" must be clearly printed at the top Right corner of the card.
If it is a pattern, the name of the original artist must also be printed
clearly.
If you are using a mold, the mold maker's name must be seen and the doll cannot
be entered in the Original category unless you, the maker, made the mold.
The name of the maker must not be seen. Please secure the maker's name to the underside of the base or beneath the clothing and fold this paper for security.
You may bring your dolls to EDAC or you may mail them to me. You do not have to attend EDAC to enter a doll.
Please e-mail me at:pamquay@comcast.net ahead of time so that I will be watching for your doll.

I will take good care of your dolls and return them to you as soon as possible. I must receive your doll(s) by July 1, 2008. I would suggest you send by Priority mail.
Please note: If you do not include return postage for your doll, we cannot return your doll to you.
If you are bringing your doll(s), I need to have a count of dolls so I may purchase the number of ribbons needed. Please e-mail me as to the number and type (Challenge or Show and Tell) of dolls to be expected.
If you wish, you may donate your doll(s) for the Opportunity Item/Silent Auction. You will need to advise us of this by July 10, 2008.

1 People's Choice, 3 Judge's Choice, 1 Attendee's Choice for Professor's Row and 1 Best of Show.
There will also be a very special award to the Best Beginner Doll Artist.
There will be smaller ribbons for every entry in the Challenge!
For the
Instructors, there will be a special category called "Professor's
